Hi! โHey! Welcome!
TODAY! I had a nap on the couch. Also, the first trailer for Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' is here, and I'm lolling at some piracy group having backed up 99% of Spotify.
Plus: Rumours of a Switch-like PlayStation 6, a massive list of albums turning old in 2026 (Tool, Daft Punk, Weezer!), and man I want the Creator Micro 2 macropad.

๐ฟ The first trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is upon us. No idea why this official video is only 1080p, but still, it looks exciting!
๐ต In a blog post titled 'Backing Up Spotify', a preservation piracy group called Anna's Archive claimed it has downloaded 99.9% of the streaming service's entire library. That's pretty damn wild.
"A while ago, we discovered a way to scrape Spotify at scale. We saw a role for us here to build a music archive primarily aimed at preservation" ๐คฃ
โ๐ฎ I just really want Sony to bring back the PSP. Am I really asking so much..? Although, according to IGN, the PS6 might be a Switch-like hybrid system.
That's no PSP, of course, and it'd probably be as big as a Steam Deck, but it'd be cool to see Sony return to a 'proper' portable โ if not a pocketable one.
Some key musical anniversaries for me in 2026
Sorry, this won't be a short list!
Some fave albums turning 30 in 2026 (1996)

Tool's Aenima. Speaking of Tool...

Tool's 10,000 Days, Gomez's How We Operate, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor, Belle and Sebastian's The Life Pursuit, Arctic Monkeys' Whatever People Say I Am, Thatโs What Iโm Not, Zero 7's The Garden, Peeping Tom's Peeping Tom, Bat For Lashes Fur and Gold, Gotye's Like Drawing Blood, Gym Class Heroes' As Cruel as School Children, The Flaming Lips' At War with the Mystics, Gnarls Barkley's St. Elsewhere, John Mayer's Continuum, Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, Guster's Ganging Up on the Sun, Girl Talk's Night Ripper, Ne-Yo's In My Own Words
๐จโ๐ป This Creator Micro 2 macropad from Work Louder looks so damn cool. I already have a Logitech MX Creative Console โ which is arguably better, given that it has a screen in each button โ but it can't compete with the style of this!
๐ฎ Every Nintendo Switch/2 game currently on sale is listed here on Aussie site Vooks, including loads of Christmas specials. Some good deals here!
๐ง This episode of Louis Theroux's podcast, interviewing comedian Jimmy Carr, is really good. I do sometimes find Carr a bit too loose with his politics, but he does do good comedy and this episode offers some great insights.
โHere's an Apple Podcasts link if you prefer, but I tell you, Pocket Casts is the superior podcasts app!
Okay, we're done for today. How was it?
